ORANGE, CT — Duck Donuts, the North Carolina-based donut chain known for warm, made-to-order treats, will open its first Connecticut location on Saturday, April 5. The new shop will be located on Boston Post Road in Orange, marking the company’s official entry into the state.
The donut chain originated in Duck, North Carolina, and has since expanded to more than 100 locations nationwide.
The Orange storefront will open its doors to the public at 7 a.m. Saturday. In celebration of the grand opening, the first guest in line will receive free donuts for a year. The next 50 guests will be gifted the Sprinkling Happiness package, which can be redeemed during a future visit.
Duck Donuts specializes in customizable, made-to-order donuts, prepared fresh and served warm. Their offerings include classic and inventive flavors such as Bacon in the Sun, Blueberry Lemonade, Cookies & Cream, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Strawberry Shortcake, and S’mores.
Customers can also enjoy ice cream donut sundaes, hand-spun milkshakes, and a bacon-and-maple-drizzle breakfast sandwich.
The opening in Orange represents a strategic move into Connecticut’s competitive food scene, bringing a popular national brand to the New Haven County retail corridor.
