Killingly, CT – Three minors were arrested after crashing a stolen car and fleeing into the woods, state police said.
The chaos unfolded Saturday afternoon near Main Street and Westcott Road, just before 1:30 p.m.
Troopers responded to a crash involving a gray Subaru Crosstrek, which had been reported stolen. The driver attempted to flee but lost control, slamming into a tree on Hartford Pike.
A witness reported the Subaru was weaving dangerously through traffic, passing cars recklessly and nearly causing multiple collisions.
After the crash, three minors bolted from the wrecked vehicle and disappeared into a wooded area.
State police deployed a K9 unit, tracking the suspects through the dense brush. All three were located and taken into custody.
The minors face several charges, including larceny, evading responsibility with property damage, criminal mischief, and interfering with an officer.
Authorities have not released further details on their identities due to their ages.
The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to determine how the vehicle was stolen and whether additional charges will follow.
