New Hartford, CT — A fire tore through a condominium complex in New Hartford on Saturday morning, destroying at least four units and prompting a multi-agency response involving more than 100 emergency personnel.
Crews were dispatched to the River Run Condos on Main Street at approximately 11:30 a.m. following a report of a structure fire.
On arrival, firefighters encountered a fully involved blaze in the end unit of building five. Flames had engulfed the structure, and immediate action was taken to prevent further spread.
“Over 20 agencies and more than 100 personnel helped with the fire,” fire officials stated. Departments from surrounding towns joined in the response under mutual aid agreements as the fire intensified.
According to officials on the scene, “at least four units were deemed to be destroyed.” The total number of displaced residents has not yet been confirmed, and there were no immediate details on injuries or casualties.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire. No timeline was given for when displaced residents may return to assess damage or retrieve belongings.
