Bridgetown, CT – Authorities have arrested a second suspect in connection with the 2022 Bridgetown murder of a local resident, marking a significant development in the ongoing investigation. Law enforcement officials announced on Monday that the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken into custody following new evidence linking him to the crime.
The case dates back to October 2022, when a 34-year-old was found dead in a Bridgetown neighborhood under suspicious circumstances. The initial suspect, arrested in 2023, was charged with first-degree murder, but investigators continued their pursuit of additional individuals involved in the case.

According to the Bridgetown Police Department, the newly arrested individual Kenneth Joyner is facing multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit murder. Investigators believe he played a critical role in planning the attack, though his exact involvement remains under review. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of further arrests as the case unfolds.
“This arrest is a testament to the dedication of our investigators who have worked tirelessly on this case for over two years”…“We remain committed to ensuring justice for the victim and their family.”
said Police Chief.
Residents of Bridgetown expressed relief at the progress in the case, with some stating that the latest arrest has brought renewed hope for closure. “It’s been a long time coming, and we just want to see justice served,” said local resident.
The suspect is expected to appear in court later this week for an arraignment hearing. Meanwhile, authorities encourage anyone with additional information to come forward as the investigation continues.
