STORRS, CT — The UConn men’s basketball program has scheduled a marquee home-and-home series with national powerhouse Arizona, with the first matchup slated for Nov. 19, 2025 in Connecticut.
The Huskies will travel to Tucson for the return game on Nov. 18, 2026.
The series extends UConn’s long-standing tradition of scheduling high-caliber non-conference opponents.
Arizona closed the 2024-25 season ranked No. 13 in KenPom and has consistently remained a top-15 team under head coach Tommy Lloyd over the past four seasons.
The Huskies and Wildcats share a competitive history, having met seven times since the 1999-2000 season.
UConn leads the all-time series 5-2. Their first contest took place at the Great Eight Basketball Classic in Chicago. UConn later swept a tight home-and-home series during the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, winning both games by a combined four points.
In 2005, the Huskies beat Arizona 79-70 in the Maui Invitational Semifinals. The most significant clash came in the 2011 NCAA West Regional Final, when UConn edged Arizona 65-63 to advance to the Final Four.
Arizona responded by winning the last two meetings in a home-and-home during the 2017-18 seasons.
The Huskies are also set to host Texas on Dec. 12, 2025 in a return leg of this season’s win in Austin.
