STORRS, CT — UConn football has secured a home-and-home series with Miami University (Ohio), marking the first-ever meetings between the two programs, the school announced Wednesday, April 2.
The Huskies are scheduled to travel to Oxford, Ohio, to face the RedHawks on September 26, 2026, at Yager Stadium. Miami will return the matchup four years later, visiting Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field on September 21, 2030.
The agreement expands UConn’s non-conference scheduling within the Mid-American Conference, where the program has historically found consistent opponents. The Huskies hold a 21-11 all-time record against MAC opponents.
UConn has faced Buffalo more than any other MAC team, owning an 11-2 record against the Bulls since 1999. The Huskies are also undefeated against Akron (3-0), Ohio (2-0), and Toledo (1-0). Their all-time MAC matchups include Kent State (2-2), Eastern Michigan (1-1), and Western Michigan (1-2), while they have yet to win in four tries against Ball State.
The Huskies are scheduled to play Ball State at home in 2025, and they will renew their series with Buffalo over three future contests: 2025 (away), 2028 (home), and 2029 (away).
