BETHANY, Conn. — A Waterbury man turned himself in Wednesday morning to Connecticut State Police in connection with a 2024 police pursuit on Route 8.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on March 19, 2025, Milton Westley (DOB 11/07/1979) arrived at Troop I – Bethany to surrender on an active arrest warrant stemming from a traffic stop that escalated into a pursuit in May 2024.
According to state police, Westley was the operator of the vehicle involved in the RT 8 incident, during which he engaged troopers in a pursuit and was later identified through investigative efforts. Troopers also determined that Westley was operating the vehicle while his license was suspended.

• Reckless Driving (C.G.S. 14-222)
• Engaging Police in Pursuit (C.G.S. 14-223(b))
Westley was held on a $20,000 bond, which he was unable to post, and was transported to Waterbury Superior Court for arraignment later that day on March 19, 2025.
Connecticut State Police have not released further details on the original incident or the circumstances that led to the pursuit. The case remains active pending court proceedings.
