WOODSTOCK, Conn. — Two men were arrested Monday night following a reported assault and a subsequent police pursuit across several towns, Connecticut State Police said.
At approximately 6:55 p.m. on March 24, Troopers from Troop D responded to a residence in Woodstock for an assault complaint.
The victim reported that Tylor Lewis (DOB 09/11/1990) and Tyler Fafard (DOB 05/26/1991) caused a disturbance in his garage. Fafard allegedly sexually assaulted a female inside the residence.
After leaving briefly, both men returned and physically attacked the male victim and shattered garage windows.
At 11:00 p.m., Troopers located their vehicle on Ennis Road in Brooklyn. Lewis, identified as the driver, refused to stop, initiating a pursuit. He allegedly drove on sidewalks, into oncoming traffic, and nearly struck cruisers.
Troopers forced a stop near 304 Main Street, and both suspects were arrested.
Lewis faces 13 charges across two incidents, including Assault in the Third Degree (C.G.S. 53a-61), Engaging Police in Pursuit (C.G.S. 14-223b), and Reckless Endangerment (C.G.S. 53a-63). He was held on $35,000 bond.
Fafard was charged with Sexual Assault in the Fourth Degree (C.G.S. 53a-73a) and five other counts. He was held on $15,000 bond. Both were scheduled to appear at Danielson Superior Court on March 25, 2025.
