STORRS, Conn. – Beth Alford-Sullivan has been named the 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Northeast Region Men’s Coach of the Year, the association announced Thursday.
Alford-Sullivan has propelled the UConn men’s track & field program to dominant performances, leading the Huskies to their fourth consecutive BIG EAST Indoor Championship with 236.5 points.
The team’s commanding display included five individual BIG EAST champions and 19 All-BIG EAST performances.
In her third season as head coach, Alford-Sullivan has guided the program to historic success, with UConn maintaining its status as the top-ranked team in the Northeast Region.
Under her leadership, the Huskies earned two All-America honors last week at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships and shattered four indoor school records throughout the season.
“It is an honor to represent UConn, my team, staff, and the Northeast region with this award,” Alford-Sullivan said.
“Indoor track and field is strong in the Northeast with many successful programs. To be at the helm of this UConn program is exciting as it continues to win and move the dial forward!!!”
UConn’s outdoor track & field season begins tomorrow at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia, hosted by Georgia Tech University.
