HARTFORD, CT — Governor Ned Lamont is asking Connecticut businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities affected by recent federal actions to report those impacts through a new online tool.
The call comes as the state tracks the consequences of funding cuts, pauses, and tariff-related disruptions.
Lamont’s office said the goal is to collect voluntary data from entities experiencing cancellations or reductions in federal support, employment impacts, or financial consequences stemming from federal directives.
The state launched a reporting portal at ct.gov/fedimpact to collect submissions. The information will be reviewed by relevant state agencies and used to inform Connecticut’s response strategies as decisions from Washington continue to evolve.
“Submitting this data is purely voluntary, but I think everyone understands the importance of sharing this information so that we can better understand what exactly is happening and formulate a response on the state and local levels,” Lamont said in a statement.
The reporting process does not offer confidentiality.
According to the governor’s office, any submitted material may be treated as public information and could be shared with other parties.
The administration emphasized that real-time data will support state planning as agencies assess the local consequences of federal funding disruptions and policy shifts.
Lamont’s office did not specify how many organizations have already reported, nor the sectors most affected.
The reporting tool is available now, and the state is encouraging impacted organizations to act promptly in the face of ongoing changes to federal funding and policy.
